You need to download Girder 3.2.4 first. v3.2.5 Pre 1 is just an updated girder.exe to fix a small bug.

hmm....I don't think that there is a gvml.dll file associated with Girder, there is a gvms.dll file though. To update Girder v3.2.4 to v3.2.5 Pre 1 you just overwrite the old girder.exe with the new one. The v3.2.5 Pre 1 girder.exe is simply a replacement for the v3.2.4 girder.exe. You do not need to execute it to perform the update. Updating to v3.2.5 Pre 1 is completely optional, you should be able to run v3.2.4 without any problems. Here is how to update step-by-step:

1. Download Girder 3.2.4
2. Download Girder 3.2.5 Pre 1 update (optional)
3. Install Girder 3.2.4 or extract the files from the zip file to a directory
4. Extract girder.exe from the Girder 3.2.5 Pre 1 zip file to the directory used in step #3 overwriting the "old" girder.exe
5. Run girder.exe

girder325pre1.zip. A Fatal Error message appeared,
terminating the update install process.

The missing file according to the Fatal Error
message is GVML.DLL. Can I download it
somewhere??

Hello vynce,

I've installed and uninstalled a mountain of software
since I purchased my first PC, which was an Intel based
386. I know, it seems like a thousand years ago.

I downloaded Girder 3.2.4 with the installer package.
After installing v3.2.4 I attempted to run the update.
The Fatal Error message was correct. There is no DLL
file gvml.dll to be found among the list of DLL's that
came with v3.2.4. Just to be sure, I downloaded the
zipfile without the installer. Again, no file called gvml.dll
was found in the zipped up version.

If everyone else has file gvml.dll along with v3.2.4, then
my operating system (WIN98SE) is performing a magic
trick of some sort, which I doubt is possible!
