The WMP 6.xx works in such a weird way that it is impossible to remote control it fully. I think the new (7+) versions works better. Maybe you can go with Zoomplayer though, this has excellent remote support and is a great player.

When WMPlayer is in the foreground, this just works perfect. Now, I want to add targetting so it works even if it is in the background or minimized.
I Remmeber having this problem also in the past, I think that WMP doesn't do actions when it's not foreground. I don't remmeber if using Command ( You should try this ) works, but anyway a simple solution would be to switch WMP to be a foreground window before controling it.

Hi all,
Well, I am REALLY NEW to Girder. Actually, I downloaded it yesterday at 2.30 AM and played around with it till 4.00, and I started playing around again with it today since 11.00 PM til now 2.40 AM
I could find how to make most of my things work, but I got a problem with Windows Media Player.
I created 3 simple commands for Windows Media Player wich are Pause/Play , Previous, and Next. I'll just use the Pause/Play button for the example.
The way I did it is by going to the "Keyboard" tab, and checking "Control", and writing "P" in the sentence box. The shortcut for Pause in WMPlayer being CTRL+P
When WMPlayer is in the foreground, this just works perfect. Now, I want to add targetting so it works even if it is in the background or minimized.
I first did it by pressing the "Target" button, then clicking "Windows Media Player" in the top list. I then checked "Only send to first match", "Match invisible Tasks". I unchecked Name, Class Name, Child Name and Child Class leaving only the "Executable" box checked, pressed OK, and minimized all Windows (including Windows Media Player). The buttons didn't work anymore.
I then did it "the simple way", by just clicking target, and then dragging the target to the Windows Media Player window, leaving everything as set by default. Still doesn't work.
I could get Winamp buttons to work with targetting, but can't get anything with Windows Media Player.
Can anyone help? If not, thanks for at least taking the time to read
PS: Apologies for my english, it's not my native language

Hi RonB,
First, thank you for answering as fast
I actually have WMP version 8.00.00.4477.
I will try the Zoomplayer, but If there is any possiblity to make it work with WMP, I'd prefer not to change...
Thanks everyone
