I have been working on converting my NetRemote CCF implementation to a website running on Girder 5 webserver. Just about ready to share my implementation, but wanted to make an observation / ask a question....

The Promixis Forum and Website are setup to easily share NetRemote code (e.g. CCF files) and Plugins - given the origins and history of the software, this makes sense, but I do not see a place to upload website examples that leverage the Girder webserver; I also noticed there is not a high level Forum category within Girder (similar to NetRemote) to "showcase" your design....

Given there seems to be a healthy discussion around website development for mobile devices (ipods, ipads, tablets, android etc.), I was wondering if it made sense to add a new category and/or expand the download area to include website examples ?

Maybe I have overlooked the place to post my code ? Should I just be trying to attach the files to this post ? (concerned about file size limitations)....

Thxs for your guidance....

Environment:
Girder 5
Ocelot (IR, X10)
Serial Plugin for Yamaha RX-V2500 (based on JYamaha and DSPZ9 plugins)
Website supporting ipod Touch

I'm more than happy to create a section for that...

Ron - That would be excellent; hopefully that would encourage people to post their code; Just wondering about limitations in size of file attachments (?)...I was planning on posting my index.html, all the related image files, serial plugin, gml file (only make reference and not post the javascript libraries I use).

Shaun5 - I am not really familiar with YouTube, other than watching the occasional "How To" video....was thinking it would be better to keep things centralized to the promixis forum ('one stop shopping')...maybe point to Youtube for videos that demo the functionality ?

Let me know if you run into size issues. Just make sure you zip up anything you upload. I doubt the forum allows .html files to be uploaded.

Unsure where to post.

My goal is to access a 'local website' via my wheelchair mounted android phone. Reviewing a stack of options...nothing works!

I have tried:
myip:8082
PC2010:8082 My desktop computer's name
10.0.2.1:8082 Router/gateway address
10.0.2.2:8082 Special alias to your host loopback interface (i.e., 127.0.0.1 on your development machine)
10.0.2.3:8082 First DNS server
10.0.2.4:8082 Second DNS server
10.0.2.5:8082 Third DNS server
10.0.2.6:8082 Fourth DNS server
10.0.2.15:8082 The emulated device's own network/ethernet interface
127.0.0.1:8082 The emulated device's own loopback interface

Any suggestions?

What is the port number you have configured in the Girder webserver? ( File->settings->Plugins->Webserver ) take a screenshot maybe.

Do you have a firewall enabled?

Try http://localhost:8082 or simply http://localhost

6515

I tried with and without the last firewall checkmark.

I did try both those. Could other ports currently in use be affecting this?

You place the secure and plain http server on the same port that won't work. Pick a different port. In fact pick a different port for both and try again. Maybe you hit a port that is in use by another app. Try turning firewall off completely for testing sake.

Still no luck.

I should mention that I can access on local laptops, just not smartphones. Androids or IPhones.
