The .CPP file is the source code of the plugin, that means that is the file that the author of the plugin wrote. With a compiler you can make a .dll of it. ( a little experience is needed)

I didnīt hear this problem yet,... it sounds like Girder is messing up, but i have no explanation for this,.. its just a timer that disables the led to green again.... iīm puzzled.

I think people would be interested in the fix. Could you let me know what you did, or send me the source ?

vu1tur sent me the updated plugin with the message that the fix only worked for a few times. So you probably don't want it.

hi there all
just installed my new avermedia tv98capture and also had some problems with the video side the remote wors fine.
than installed girder and the avermedia plugin and got a little problem: when i press one button (one of half of them) on the remote the light on the girder turns from green to blinking yellow and stays like it (it's like the off command isnt sent) and the other half of the buttons turn the blinking yellow to green again (it's like half turn on transmission and half turn them off) - anyone with a solution?
in the zip of the plug in there is a file with cpp extension - wht is it excactly? can i fix the problem through it?
any insight will be great as i'm completly lost here
email me if you can
cheers
michel

hi there Ron and thanks for the reply - not really a programmer myself so cant make any sense of the cpp file but i suspect the solution is in there somewhere
it goes like this: there are 4 columns of buttons on the remote and all buttons in the first and third column turn the green light into blinking yellow and all the the ones in the 2nd and 4th columns turn it back into green - not sure about it but my logic tells me that the problem is not with the turn off timer of girder (as it would affect all buttons) but with the hardware pugin definitions - wish i could make sense of the cpp file but cant maybe you could have a quick look at it and see if you can spot anything to that extent (hope i'm not asking too much...)
cheers

I have TVphone98, and there's no button on remote which stops the yellow light flashing.
That is under W2K. In Win98 everything is normal.

Just found out.
It's neither Girder's nor plugin's problem. Cause btTool by Borg shows that the button is pressed but never released. Obviously it's crappy drivers Avermedia released.

Sorry. That is plugin's problem
bRemore2.0 works right in W2K

Hi!
Has anybody already successfuly solved the problem with Girder, AverTV and it's remote controller. Last week I have bought this card and I have the same problem with controller as 'mmoalem' from 2001-05-14 in this discusion. I'm using new original Avermedia drivers ver 3.14. As Gider hardware plugin I tried to use plugins written by Kostya Dmitriev and also Michal Milczewski. None of them works correctly with AVerTV. Girder detects IR commands only from buttons located in the 1st and 2nd columns of the remote - the others have no efect. Thank for help. Radek

I'm trying to use the Avertv remote to control my Avertv tuner using ShowShifter. Where can I find the Avertv plugins?

I thought I saw them yesterday in t download section. Today they are not there.

Please help,
