What exactly does this mean? I finally managed to successfully program my UIRT2a but i forgot to remove the crystal first, could this have made the programming go wrong?

I tried Anders test-program and it doesn't give any errors (i don't know what to look for so i don't know if it gets the right info from the PIC or not).

I've programmed the pic with the 1.7 firmware. From what i've managed to understand the error i get is because of a version-conflict between the UIRT2 and Girder...

I've tried with Girder 3.2 beta 14 and 3.24 and get the same error.

I'm using the UIRT-plugin that is currently uploaded on the girder-site.

Any help on how to solve the problem is very appreciated.

Think I've seent that error when the uirt wasn't plugged in. Are you sure that you are using the right com port?

Yeah, and i've checked the cable too so that's not the problem either.

Gonna try reprogramming the PIC when i've removed the crystal but i have to borrow a solderingpen from a friend first.

Try programming the PIC with the crystal installed before pulling it out. I have read other posts where it seems to work fine with the crystal.

Solved the problem, all i had to do was reprogram the PIC for some strange reason. (didn't do anything different this time..)
