The #14 is a checksum,.. it is supposed to be there.

I'm working on the SlinkE plugin at the moment, but the redrat plugin is right in line after that for a big overhaul.

Hi Guys,

I've been working on the Redrat 2 plugin and I have released 0.8 for your approval

Let me know if it works for you. mind its not finished yet, but it should work.

I have had this problem with my RedRat from day 1 (I used Chris Dodges's software for a year before Girder supported the RedRat)
I only get it with one of my remotes (for a Grundig HiFi), not with the other.
I have worked around it by changing the beginning of the string, for example I would change SF6EL8CB... to SF0EL8CB...
No idea why this works or what it does to the checksum but it is what I have had to do to many of my commands to get them to work.

This is a batch file that I used to turn on the radio and switch it to Radio 3.
I have had to change the string from F00... to F70... or F60...
Now that I am reprogramming the system to use Girder I am having to do the same with the strings that Girder captures.

REM turn the HiFi over
c:localrrrr2 -p 1 -dl F70L0D100E361A911BB9X444223DD0410410411882111EE820 8208208C0PAA88R01

rem Radio On
c:localrrrr2 -p 1 -dl F61L0D100E341A8C1BB1X444108823A0820820823104108823 A082082082300PAAA4R01

REM Reset the mixer levels
"C:Program FilesQuickMixQuickMix.exe" C:HiFir3.qmx

rem Radio3
rem c:localrrrr2 -p 1 -dl F60L0D100E341A8C1BB6X4441088208208208E823104108820 8208208E82300PAA6AR01

Hi!

Just installed .22 and red rat plug in on a win2k sp1 machine.

Using testrat to capture and send IR works ok.

Following the instructions with the plugin, when I capture IR I get a string like this...

[SF6EL8CBD468A08881A9023740977X43FFEFDEF7BDEFDFBFFF DFBDEF7BDEC452D8P4EE3R01#14]

Looking thru the redrat dev docs, I don't get where the #14 is coming from?

Anyway, hitting apply and then mapping the command to a CTRL-1 keypress results in...

A dialog box titled REDRAT plugin, with the text

ILLEGAL IR SIGNAL.

Any ideas?

I will try the older version of girder when I get a chance.

Sorry Ron, after re-reading the RR docs, I found the part about checksums...

Any idea why the error message? I guess that other people aren't getting it, cause everyone would be saying it doesn't work.

Also, I am running firmware 1.7..

TIA

Thanks bart, I'll try another remote and looking at the codes as you said.

and thanks ron, don't mean to sound like I'm hurrying you, I think girder is pretty damn good!

I'll post my results.

Just played around, and had the same prob.

Wrote a quick checksum checker, and the checksums seem correct.

Bart, could you please mail me an export of a working RR command? I think I could tell from that how to make it work...

TIA

Jason
