plugin download statistics

My pleasure, I was just as curious about download statistics as you. Its the least I can do for the work that the plugin developers put into it!

I just had a weird thought and wanted to share it with the plugin developer community ...

Would it be possible to make download statistics available for the stuff on the download page? I don't care if the data is visible directly on the page or if I have to request it via a separate button or screen or whatever. I don't care if anyone other than the plugin author can see the information for a specific plugin. I'm interested in seeing if the plugins I write are useful to, or at least downloaded by, others.

That would be fine, if it is easy for you. I'm not trying to generate more work for you, I'd just like to see whether people are downloading the stuff I'm writing.

One of my uses of this information will be a PARTIAL justification to my significant other. She understands that I enjoy doing this, but she doesn't know how many others actually use what I write.
