A lot of UPS's have software that works through a serial port, such that if power fails, your computer will be shut down. Has anyone tried to use Girder to catch a "no power" event, and kick off a macro? In particular, you could imagine sending IR commands to shut down other boxes. Is there 1 UPS company's software which is easiest to use for this type of application? I was looking at Tripplite.
Thanks in advance!
