An observation, and a few questions:
All the RCA DSS receivers seem to use a carrier of approximately 57.5KHz (according to my Pronto's learned IR code). I was unable to "learn" these codes with the UIRT2, but I was able to import them. So far, so good, but the DSS receiver did not respond at all, until I set "Speed" and "Threshold" on the plugin to their minimum. At this point, I don't yet know what kind of range I'll be able to achieve with the 40KHz carrier.
Question: What do "Speed" and "Threshold" do?
Question: Have you released the PIC source code? I'd like to take a crack at allowing higher carriers. There appears to be an unused bit in the protocol that could be used to expand the range.
