You should use the IrDA plugin for that. Be sure to read the manual on how to set it up.

Chances are that both devices are exactly the same. As noted on the Girder page IrDA isn't designed for this task and will probably not give good results.

Can the ACTISYS SERIAL IrDA DEVICE work with serial pluggin for Girger triggering?

I'm using the internal type of ACTISYS with the IrDA pluggin and it works fine.
The problem is that with a short button pressing on the remote, Girder takes the command three or four times and i can't use the buttonmode pluggin, it things that is a long button pressing-on other commands i'm using the antirepeat option and it's ok.
I'm wondering if with the serial ACTISYS things are better.
