Since January 2002 Girder has seen a huge overhaul, most of its internal code has been rewritten and cleaned up. I feel that internally Girder is working almost perfectly ( perfection cannot be acheived, though humanity tries :-) ). As far as the internals are concerned we are already at Girder 4.0. However the GUI is still at the state it was 2 years ago. In bad shape. I had hoped to get some work done on it this summer, but high workload at college and the internal changes in Girder kept me busy.
This time I'm going to get it right though, I'm taking a class "Userinterface Design". I'm trying to get Girder to be my final project for that class. I'll be working on that with a friend of mine, no coding only thinking what would be good.... If the results we get are good I'm sure to implement them. We are planning to release the final paper on this on Girder.nl.
One of the parts of Userinterface design is a usergroup that is willing to test and give feedback on ideas that we come up with, so I'm going to be using you guys as the guinea pigs (http://www.dictionary.com/search?q=guinea+pig&r=3). I'll keep you informed on this, the prof. in principle agreed to this proposal but he wanted to know what Girder was/did,
