right now i have packard bell remote and the reciever

im planning on building the UIRT 2 to turn on my pc and stuff, but before i begin i have a few questions

1.would this remote work wit uirt2
2.can i use the ir receiver from the current reciever taht i have
3.y do i need ir emmiters (they arent in the reciiver that i have now)
4.would just any key on my remote turn on my computer wit uirt2 or just a speciffic 1
5.how hard is it to build one of these things?

Hello,

Girder and UIRT2 can works with virtually any remote controler, some are very easy and some are a little more dificulty to work.

You nedd to program a speciffic button to startup PC because with any key any infrared activity (when you are watching tv and change channel, for an example) will also startup then.

5.how hard is it to build one of these things?

I´m not experienced user and dummie for eletronics, and find no great dificulties to make my uirt2 works.
