I've just submitted a new version (2.0) of the serial plugin. Not many bug fixes (one, actually) were added. Mostly this is more function (hence 2.0 rather than 1.1).

Included is the ability to delete (remove) devices and Import/Export devices.

The Import/Export functions should allow users to share device configuration files with each other. This means that after YOU figure out how to use a device, you can publish these findings and let others benefit from your hard work. Combined with a device specifc .gir file, you could publish complete device support in one .zip file! Ron is setting up a new page (and server space) on this web site to publish all of these device configuration files. Thanks, Ron!

Also new in this release of the plugin is the ability to wait 0-100 ms between characters sent by Girder since some serial devices don't support handshaking or flow control.

The .zip file includes a readme but it was written by an engineer so it may not be as clear as you'd like. :smile: Please post if you have problems, questions or suggestions.
