keyboard ex

i am trying to use the keyboardex plugin for girder, and i found the
following problem

it will not accept a keystroke for learn that is

windows key + anything else

it jumps out of learn after it recieves the windows key.
this is a problem for me because the multimedia keyboard keys on my
laptop keyboard are just a simulation of the windows key + control +
another letter key.
