Can the a function to change the next/previous Playlist be added to the Winamp3 Plugin?

If this is another way to do this, please let me know.

thanks.

Just to confirm, by that you mean make the playlist below/above the current playlist in the Playlist Editor's Loaded Playlists current, right?

I'll see what I can do.

Yea, that would be great. I've been trying to find hotkeys to do it, but no luck.

thanks a bunch

Try version 1.2. I did not make the commands affect playback, just the selected playlist. So, you will need other commands to start the new playlist playing. If you think a different definition of the new actions makes more sense, please suggest it.

Is the Winamp3 plugin file updated on the downloads page?

It still says version 1.1

I think this is perfect, but how would I let winamp know that i want to play the selected playlist?

thanks.

I have added an explicit Start playlist command. Use it after Next / Previous to start playback on the selected playlist (which need not be the same as any currently playing playlist). It starts at the current position of that playlist, so you can also use Set playlist position beforehand.

Let me know whether this meets your needs.

Wow, this is awesome! There is everything I dreamt it to be.

1 more thing though, I don't mean to be a pain. Im just wondering why the next playlist doesn't get the immediate next playlist, but rather the next playlist in the order that I added them in. Is there a way that I can tell wa3 not to jump like that?

thanks.

Can you give me a specific example of what happens and what you would like to happen? I cannot promise anything, but I am not sure I 100% understand the case in question.

I take the playlists in the order in which the playlist service enumerates them. I assumed that was the order in which the playlist editor displayed them. But I would swear to that; the Winamp 3 API can be challenging at time.

Everytime i restart WA3, the loaded playlists are sorted alphabetically. So they aren't in their original positions. So when i do a next playlist, it jumps all over the place. It might be sequential in the way they were added, but not the way they are listed.

Would it be possible to move to the next immediate playlist that is displayed and not the enumerated listing?

thanks.

I guess no one ever replied to that post, but I'm having the same problem: Winamp sorts the playlists alphabetically, and so what I see looks like the next playlist never really is when I execute the 'next playlist' command. Of course, I suppose rename them with leading numbers, but still... I'd be nice to figure out how to keep Winamp from messing things up...

It sounds to me like you might be having winamp sort your playlists on load. I think there is an option to tell winamp to do this in the configuration section. however i didn't like the functions of winamp 3 so i still use winamp 2.xx. a.k.a. i don't know exactly how to help you much more.
