IrDA can be a big pain, and its likely that it will not work at all. This is because IrDA isn't designed to do this job. I'll release the source code to this plugin so maybe someone else will try his/her luck on getting IrDA to work.

What operating system are you using with your ThinkPad?

Although there was a patch made to enable IrDA under Windows 95 their are known problems with it.

Also, under Windows 2000 (which I doubt you are running on your ThinkPad) Microsoft removed IrComm so you will need to install the IBM IrComm drivers.

If you let me know your operating system I will see what I can do.

I'm trying to use the IRDA port on my ThinkPad 365ED. It seems to work fine, but every button on the remote registers the same hex number. Is this an IRDA fault? I've tried this with a couple different remotes. Any help would be appreciated!
