x10 remote doesnt work

I have a x10 remote control model no UR81A with a MR26A serial reciever

the x10 plugin doesnt work with it

was wondering if any of you guys had the same problem and if yes then how did you go about it

Did you try the serial port plugin with the suggested settings at the end of that thread? The only addition I'd make is to use Handshaking = DTR/RTS power

This device looks a lot like th eone that comes with the X10 Mouse remote. It may use the same settings. You could try the MouseRemote support demo that comes with the Serial Port plugin.

i tried using the serial plugin ver 3.07 but girder wont start.

it comes up with an error
" The procedure entry point lua_freebytecode could not be located in the dunamic link library lua.dll

and then it says unable to start serial.dll

when i remove this dll and restart grider, it works fine.

any ideas

i am using girder 3.25a and windows xp

Sorry, the 3.0.7 serial plugin requires Girder 3.2.6. :(
