:D
Hi
I have a Sony STR-DE825 AV Receiver and I'm unable to import the soundfield function codes due to their lenght.
The original RM-LJ301 Remote bit the dust so I can no longer control the soundfield settings of the receiver.
I found the function codes in pronto format but every time I try to import the pronto codes it comes up with multiple primary bursts error.
I have done some reserch on the web, mostly newsgroups and it looks like the soundfield function codes for Sony devices are rather lenghtly
Is there a posibility to have this looked into or is there a way to get arround?
Thanks
Laz

Can you post one of the pronto codes? It sounds to me like they include the same code repeated several times. This page has device and function codes for Sony receivers and I have a script that can generate girder codes from sony codes.

You are right Judapeno!
I checked out your web page and the last part where the SONY dsp commands section got me thinking.
I checked the codes I was trying to import into girder and sure enough
its like the description you provided, they are the advanced codes that repeat and that is why girder was complaining.
You mentioned that you have a script that will generate girder codes from the sony codes.
Would you by any chance share that with me?
Anyways here is the sony code for Rear Balance Rightmost position these are discrete commands from left to right in 8 levels.
0000 0066 005b 0000 0060 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0398 0060 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0397 0060 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0399 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 015f 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0178 0060 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 01a6 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018
If you are interested I have an Excell spredsheet with the STR-DE925 function codes.
One more thing If I import each individual code by itself and create a macro in girder will it work?

Try this code:
0000 0066 0010 0000 0060 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0398
The other functions will all be this length, and you need to change the third number to 0010. A girder macro should work to repeat this. My script only works under misterhouse right now. If you have trouble with any particular functions, e-mail me the spreadsheet and i'll generate them for you.
Here is more info on Sony pronto codes.
