I'm using Girder to controle my ZoomPlayer and the Igor IR to interface wiht the remote.

Everything works great except that my remote is a bit trigger happy :-?

For example when I'm browsing throught the file menu using the arrow keys on the remote I usually jump over one or two items with a single keystroke.

Could I somehow ignore certain Events for an X amout of time (like 300 ms)?

If I use the Window command "wait" it waits for the set amount of time and then executes the next remote event (the same event) in the queue(buffer). The sme thing happens on all other keys.. like when I hit the pause button I get into a little battle with the remote wich sends the same signal twice or four times.. pretty much ignoring the pause

What can I do ?

thanks.

Welcome to Girder!

When you learn an event to a command, Girder makes a new item in the command tree called "EventString". If you highlight an event string in the command tree, a field on the right side next to "repeat wait time [ms]" will become enabled. This is the anti-repeat time for that event string. Put the number of milliseconds that you want to ignore the same button press in there. (250 is 1/4 of a second)

Same problem here, but setting the repeat wait time doesn't solve it. =/
funny about that is: the SAME receiver and the SAME remote work with the SAME girder version and igors plugin on anonther computer w/o any skipping

the problem is that for example winamp skips 4 songs instead of only 1. also the pause function doesn't work, it pauses and unpauses several times

i have yet to try programs other than winamp, and i also use the downloaded "winamp+numplayer+nokia" group

btw, when i use the nokia-style text-entering feature, the letters show up, but are not entered in winamp elsewhere.. any ideas?

take a look at your target settings, maybe you can check only send to first match.
