I've been using girder for a couple of days now, but since restarting my machine which is running XP it freezes the whole system if I try to minimize or close the girder window which loads up on startup.

I am not sure if it freezes when clicking anywhere else (i.e. menus) not tried because I don't want to restart my computer again at the moment.

Any ideas?

If you have any "on Girder open" events, try disabling them and do a restart. Sometimes, if there's more than one, they can "hi-jack" all the ressources on the computer, so you need to separate them with "wait" commands or perhaps a timer action. I had that problem, especially after installing SP1.

Are you using the beta version of the Igor SFH-56 device? I was just having the same problems you described. I think I've got the problem pinned down to the beta version of this plugin. I've installed the older version which has ring0 disabled - I got the plugin to work by upping the priority level to 9.

Best of luck,

well just had the same problem with the old version of the plugin as well. I'm gonna disable it and see if the problem persists...

Indeed, this problem is due to the IgorPlug priority issues. Just mess with them until it doesn't happen anymore. (If saving your .GML seems to go a bit faster, and you're computer doesn't seem to be hanging suspended when Girder is saving your GML, that's a good indicator that the problem is gone).

I'm having the same problem, but with some caviat to the issue. I'm runnin with an Airboard and Igor just goes nuts on cpu usage when ever it recieves any input from the Airboard. Anyone else have this issue?
