Girder is much better.
IRAssistant is now free however it used to be shareware. Another program is PCRemote (also shareware) which I bought over a year ago and the author of that program was great at taking your money but not updateing program. It's still beta.
Stick with Girder mate, it's the king.

I have used IR-assistant about a year ago. The only reason I stoped using it, was b/c of poor support for my remote (PB Fast Media). Later I found that I can use it along with winIRC (it was too late I found Grider).
The only stuff I liked about it, was a small OSD on lower left of screen which showed which button was pressed.
Another advantage was the mouse acceleration which Grider supports it now. (Thanks to Jason Parker)
Anyway Grider Rules:)

I've not used IR-assistent for a few months so I don't know what state it is in now. I found at the time that girder was by far the more versatile program and you also get the benifit of things like better targeting features, built in message capture and alot of people wanting to help in its development.

Hi guys,
Might be a stupid question to ask here, but who has experience with IR-assistent?
I'm a girder user now but i'm curious about this 'competitor'?
Which one is better???
