OSDMenu : problem with version 1.64

Hello Matt,

I have a little problem with new OSDMenu 1.64.
I use a long Menu with over 60 rows and do the scrolling with my remote with a 150 ms antirepeat time for scrolling down/up.
At the beginning of the scrolling all seems to be OK, but when reaching row number 35-40 the idle value of my processor falls suddenly from around 45% to 0 %. ( on 434 MHz Cel)
And it's going to get worser. Girder is receiving a message "Cannot create menu thread".
Sometimes the Computer freezes and I have to push the reset-button.:o:
Sometimes I can't start another program. Error-message with not enought main storage.
But I have 320 MB and this should be enought for this application.
I switched back to OSDMenu 1.62a and the problems had gone.
I also tried the whole thing with the keyboard -> the same result.

I don't have version 1.63. So I don't know, if this error is already in that version.

I think that there is something in the new code causing this idlevalue of 0%.

Matt, if you have the time, perhaps you can figure out what the problem is ?

I have also trouble in OSDMenu plugin.
When i start one program by osd menu, i have error message of Girder and Girder hangup.
When i start other program all well.

Reiner: Can you send me your menu ini file. Also if you have any more information it would be very useful (eg OS version).
There were some quite major changes to the drawing functions in 1.64.

Shura_k: You'll have to give me more information than that because there is NO way I can work out what is wrong from that description.

Matt, here are my System Specs.

- Win98
- 320 MB RAM
- Girder 3.2.6b
- Girder Plugins : DVDSpy; OSD PopUp; OSDMenu; UIRT; User Events
- Application : Media Jukebox 8.0

Now I can give you also some more 'error-situations'.

Sometimes when I call the menu I can scroll the complete menu
from beginning to end and it seems to be OK.
When I leave the menu and call it again, then the error "Cannot create menu threat" occurs.

Another example: When I leave my thumb on the IR for scrolling, the scrolling suddenly
becomes very,very slow and the events are buffered.
After leaving the IR, the menu scrolls on for 8-10 items. This was also not
happening in 1.62a.

Perhaps this can help in finding the cause.
