error: com error on com1=18 (hex)

I have the following hardware:
x-10 receiver jr21e
x-10 transmitter jr20e

Software:
girder 3.2.6b
serial 3.0.8
settings: none,8,1,hardware,9600 and use: Mouseremote.ini

with every key i press on the remote i got the following error:
error: com error on com1=18 (hex)

What the heck is wrong here?

That is a framing error of some sort. One or more of the port parameters (none,8,1,9600 ) is wrong.

I don't have the same receiver as you. Mine is the JR21A. The correct parameters for the JR21A are n,7,1,1200. I don't know if these will work better/worse with yours.
