LCD cursor blinking after return from standby

Hi

I have Crystalfontz 16x2 LCD display on my HTPC and use Girder with DVDSpy. I never turn the HTPC off, instead I use WinXP standby (suspend to RAM). However when I wake the PC up, I get flashing cursor on the LCD display. I have to exit girder and run it again to get rid of it. Is there other way solve this situation?

On wake from RAM, you MIGHT be able to disable the LCD plugin and re-enable it. I don't know if this would set the initilal state (and remove the cursor) or not.

How would I automate such a thing? Can girder detect that the PC has been woken up?
