Help with ir

I have a PC Remote and a PC Blast IR both from www.concept -devices.com which plugin should i be using with theese devices , and which would ber the more reliable to use. One is a paralel device and the other serial.

It is unclear from their web site as to which parts of each port (parallel or serial) are used by the device or if there is a micro controller in the device. Since they also seem closed when it comes to any protocol they use to comminicate with the device, I have no idea which version would be "better" or would even work with Girder.

having looked were one should not, there are no pic controllers on board this device is as basic as possible. If fact its so basic that its a rip off. And to be quite frank very soon its destination will be the bin.
