After all the help that has been given to me in the last couple of days, I went off and created a 1st version GML file for use with my HTPC.

I incorporated the code suggested by Ron and steph99 to disable groups based on the foreground app, and also added a couple of cool features that I thought I would share.

The first is a set of system-level default button assignments that get used if the foreground app doesn't have an app-specific group. The second is a set of master commands that always run. These include the mouse keys, the special program buttons on my ATI remote, volume control/mute, and the power button.

The remote mappings are based upon the ATI All-in-Wonder remote and the X10/ATI Remote Control interface. I have left the mappings in - if you have the same setup, this file should work out of the box.

Let me know what you think. Feel free to use and or modify the file as you see fit, but I ask that you give me at least a small credit if you distribute the file further.

Regards,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I would like to have a look at the file. BUT, I can't find it :)

That's odd...I can see it sitting at the bottom of my post.

Hmmm....let me try again.

File attached again - filename HTPC-Default.GML.txt.
