Hi, I am new to Girder. I've read FAQ, Doc, search this forum. But I can't find an very useful guide for all the cool plugins. It only have short descrption and very hard to know extact what it does, it's benefits, or do I need it.

My main purpose is to playback Divx/VCD/DVD/Mp3/Photos with my HTPC. I got Zoomplayer working just fine. That's all I am using it with is the UIRT and Send Message Plugins. Am I missing some good stuff? Any recommandation of useful plugins?

I have question in particular for the usage and advantage of DVDSyp, XPOSD, etc etc...

I agree.

One idea: most plugins have very useful "readme" (text) files included within the .ZIP

- These text files could serve an additional use for "pre-download" information.

I'll see what I can do.

Most of these Readme only contain info like how to set it up, or update list. Little to no info on what it is used for, its benefits, or why we should use it. For newbies like me, I have no idea what's plugin I need or should get to improve my remote experinces.

Can someone tell me right now couple most popular plugin and what do u use it for? I've seem lots of post regarding the DVDspy, XP OSD, etc. Are these just to display OSD mesage, or for LCD? If I dont have LCD, and I am only using zoomplayer which already have buildin OSD, then do I really need this?
