Hi,

I have a Creative DXR3 Hardware card and made a Girder Export file for it ages ago. Since I am now using Windows 2000 and the Creative drivers suck on it I am now using the Hollywood drivers.

Anyway, if you read the text file that comes with the drivers you will get ALL the kep presses need to create a Girder file. If you cant find it then please let me know and I will see what i can do.

All the best.

John

Hi Samn,

I downloaded the Win98 drivers at work (yes, I should be working but what the hell  )

Here are the keyboard keystrokes for the DXR3 you have. You will need to use Girders find window option to set the target window as I cant remember the name of it. I'm sure it starts ctpcdvd or something.

Following are the key stroke mapping to the
buttons of the DVD Player remote control
interface.
Up Arrow - Go Up
Down Arrow - Go Down
Left Arrow - Go Left
Right Arrow - Go Right
Return - Enter
F1 - Help
F2 - Cycle Subpicture

F12 - Go Angle Menu/Resume (Toggle)
M - Go Root Menu/Resume (Toggle)
T - Go Title Menu/Resume (Toggle)
0..9 - 0..9 Chapter/Track/DVD Menu
Item
Ctrl-1..0 - Bookmark #1..#10

It seems that the Creative PC-DVD Encore's software is not the same as the PC-DVD MPEG-1 Decoder Card's software, "Creative Play Center", which is what I have. Does anyone have any experience with using Girder with this program or this hardware?

Thanks. I'll try figuring this all out. I haven't even installed Girder yet, so I'm a little in the dark here. My concern is that I don't have the DXR3 -- I have the much older MPEG-1 card that came as part of the first Creative PC-DVD kit. I bought the card on eBay. I don't have the Creative drive, instead I have a Toshiba that came preinstalled in my Dell with its own non-TV-out card that the Creative one replaced. Creative doesn't have much info available anymore for my old hardware. I'll look at my driver text files to see how similar they are to the DXR info you've provided, and give it all a whirl!
