oops - - - - wrong forum,, meant to post in uirt forum, soz - - -

have built the uirt2 device, learning is fine, transmitting however is producing very low output power , have tried several IR led's but with same result, i have also replaced evey component in the device, since i bought 2 of everything, the uirt 2 is grabbing power from a spare 5v hdd connector, which should be sufficient ??

the output range of all the leds ive tried is about 2 feet max

i also have an infared camera for checking infared output, a standard handset remote produces a blinding flash of IR, the uirt2 is only produceing a small glow from the IR led

i have also tried removing the 10k resistor from inline on the ir led, but no luck

anyone got any idea

am using 1.8 pic firmware

Sorry for the late reply, did you solve it already?

The resistor inline with the led's should be 10 ohm, not 10K.
Replacing it with a wire could destroy the led's
