I represent a company called Boca Labs, Inc. We design and manufactuer custom electronic devices. Our Web site is located at www.bocalabs.com.

We are just a few weeks away from releasing a series of low cost, PC controlled, full learning Infrared (IR) products. Our first release will be the Model IR500. This product is a completely frequency agile, operating between 10 and 100 Khz, and features USB and/or RS-232 connectivity, 4 external IR emitter ports, 4 internal probe input ports, send and receive and unlimited/extensible learning capabilities. It's based on a Atmel AVR microcontroller and features a very simple "ascii" command string parser protocol.

i also own a multiple transceiver function USB IrDA device darn expensive and found it useless......

This device is not released yet so we don’t know what software will be available for it. There should be a Girder plugin for it assuming I manage to make some time to program.

Any IR blaster device supported by Girder can be used to send commands from the command line. All you have to do is set up the command and then trigger it with the program event.exe that comes with Girder. It works great from the command line. All you have to do is have Girder running.
