This question comes up every now and again. Its just the way that Girder works right now. Since my time the coming months will be very limited its not likely it will change. But it is something that i'm going to change in the new design.
As long as Girder isn't in the foreground, the execute of the command tree is relativly fast.

My question is the same, but a little different.
At the moment I have groups setup to enable and disable using the taskswitch plugin.
This works fine, however I am concerned that as I add to the list, it will start to become very slow..
Is it much better to program keys so that it recognizes a response (say the play button on the remote) and then works out which program is active, and therefore what message to send to that program?
I do like the exported groups feature on the website, however I would like to see complete girder files - so I can see how you guys have "put it all together" and for other ideas.....
Is there any chance that some complete girder files for several programs to become available?

can I do something like that :
on ANY key press on remote, girder will see what window IsForeground , and enable that specific group , disable all others group , and let that group do whatever it needs to do for that key ?
or I should every key separate  ?
