Girder OSD and DirectX Games

Is it posible to detect if desktop app or DirectX app is runing? Them if desktop app is runnig then show OSD messages and do not show OSD in DIRECTX (opengl apps).

Why I'm asking for? I want control sound volume in games without OSD. becoures OSD switch back form fullscren to windowed mode and same games crased, and some requires manual switching windows back to full screen mode

I am planning on rewriting the OSD
code to support DirectX, how does
that sound ?

Also you could do a windowexists on
your game and then decide whether to
use the volume change with or without
the OSD.
