I don't know how to do this.

Have you searched some of the PC peripherial stores on the web for a translator (parallel->serial) box of some sort? How about a serial-port card to plug into a slot? Or a USB attachable serial hub?

Does any one know how to turn your Lpt port into a Com port. Is this possible?
