Ron,

Not sure if this belongs here but, (and I know it's trivial in the big picutre)

It would sure be nice, and convenient, if when you 'add" a new command, the command that is created starts "highlighted" (ready for editing) so that you can rename it (from "new) without having to hit the "rename" command.... similar to the way "new folders" are created by Windows.

...just a nit, I know...but after adding LOTS of commands, it would be nice to eliminate the xtra step.

thx

I'm not arguing against this but ... you *can* press F2 to make the new command's name editable. This keyboard shortcut makes it pretty easy to edit new command names, to me.

:x ..party pooper!

I have F2 assigned to a Girder event...

I agree with the idea...

!Thread Highjacking!
How about being able to use the delete key to delete a girder command (maybe insert to add a new one?).

You can use CTRL+Delete to delete a command, CTRL+A to add a new one.

...and Ctrl+M to add a multigroup.

I just wanted to weigh in on this and say YES, this would be very useful. When I first read this post a few days ago I thought it might be useful. Today I spent most of my day reworking my setup because I can finally upgrade to 3.2. (The RedRat2 held me back for a long time.) All day I found myself adding a new command and trying to type in a name immediately. Of course Girder ignored all this typing. Even after doing this all day I still can’t get myself in the habit of pressing F2. This isn’t the way other things in Windows works. I’m used to choosing New File and having windows create a file with a name that is immediately editable.

Thanks
