Hi Jon

Is there any chance that you might upgrade the firmware on the good old
serial based UIRT to the same level that you have the usb version.

Like the 20-60 kHz transmission range

Sorry, but I tried this very thing on the serial UIRT and ran into timing issues. This is because the serial UIRT uses software to create the carrier. The USB-UIRT on the other hand uses a hardware PWM generator to do the job.
