How do i emulate alt+f4?

I want to close the active program with my remote control.

So how do I emulate alt+f4 with girder?

I simply send the keyboard command ALT F4 from the girder keyboard page ? I think I had to click the alternate check box to get it to work.
Just sending the command will send it to the top level window, but you can send it to target windows as well.
I also shut windows by sending the window close command from the windows tab to the window I want to close.
