UIRT2 and Logitech AST Remote???

:( I've build an UIRT2a and tried it with some normal IR remote controls and it does a great job. But now I have a Logitech AST remote and wanna use it with UIRT2a. I only have 2 com ports. So I think if UIRT2 can receive and transmit, why should I use the extra receiver from Logitech AST.

Till now I have tried it with firmware v1.7.

Is there anybody outthere which tried it with v1.8?

Please help!

Tell me how I could bring it to operate together. :P
