Hi Cherrypie,

how do you connect the remote's receiver to you'r computer? If it's via a serial port, try to use Mark's serial port plugin and the configuration file I made... It works with my DVD anywhere which doesn't show any X10 on it's casing, but looks the same. I bought it here in Germany, it might be the same...

If you're attempting to use the "mouse" functions on the MouseRemote, I believe it uses RF to transmit data, not IR. While the rest of the functions are IR-based, I don't think the Mousing stuff is.

I have one but it was so prone to RF interference that I had to drop it.

I'm trying to use Girder with the X10 MouseRemote on Win2000.
(Note: I have the newer "MP3 Remote Control", not the original MouseRemote. But I assume they work the same...)

I downloaded Alessandro's X10 plugin, but cannot get Girder to recognize any activity.
I tried it with and without the Boom sw loaded, but no success.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanx, Gijs.

Actually I can't get ANY keypress on the remote to register. Nada zilch nope niets.

Again, I am using the newer "DVD anywhere" remote, see http://www.x10.com/products/x10_vk57a.htm.

Regards, Gijs.

Thanx Ingo, that suggestion is just what I needed!
I loaded the serial plugin, and your X10 ini file. Now I receive chars from the serial port when I press "learn".

This is a great community supporting a great program!

Groeten, Gijs.

Hi all,

I am using the same setup (X10, W2k and serial plugin for Grider). I did the installation in the same way as described above: install serial plugin, choose x10 driver and load ini-file. But whenever I choose learn from the main window and press a button at the remote, the cursor jumps around and I get only F8, 78 and 00 as recieved characters. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
