Where does this IR Receiver plug into..
Does it plug into a COM port?
Do you have a URL of the company that makes it?
What OS are you using?
I will try and help you once I get some details. Generally most IR receivers are supoported by Girder one way or another.

OK, I had a look and to be honest I cant see anything about the setup.
All I can suggest is to uninstall the drivers for it and then try one of the following drivers available from the download section.
As your unit is branded under several OEMs you may be lucky.
I would suggest you try the Avermedia TV Capture, Pinnacle TV, Universal Serial (set to init at 9600 baud), Generic UIR, SFH56.
Sorry I could not be of more help. If I find something else I will let you know.

Hi,
I also used the Anir Multimedia Magic for some short time and agree fully with the complaint about the supplied software. Couldn't get it to work with Girder in the past and replaced it with a UIR. Took me less time then trying to get the AMM to work.

Hi!
I use the above mentioned IR receiver, but the software for it is basically sh...
Is it possible to replace it with Girder and why not?
Thanks a lot in advance! If anybody wants to develop a plug-in for this IR receiver, I can lend them my extra receiver.

Comport, the URL is http://www.animax.no but they're
all on holiday right now. I use WinME, so that should not be a problem. But the thing is that I don't know a thing about the technical data for this thing. Nothing is mentioned in the use guide. I hoped it was a simple universal IR-receiver, but it wasn't. At least I couldn't get it to work like one. But I would really appreciate some help! The original software hasn't been upgraded in two years.
Oh yes, it uses the regular IR-bandwith. I've been able to program the remote for the set into my Marantz 2000 learning remote.

Yeah, I think I'm going to do the same thing.
I tried all the possibilities that HappyPixie told me about, and I couldn't get anything to work. Too bad, since I've got two of those blasted things and wanted to daisy chain them, so I could run the pc from both my home cinema and the living room.

Hi!
Thanks for the offer, but it's working with Igor's driver. It just needed som extra tweaking. Look at the other thread in this forum.

Hi, according to what I remember I read long time ago, this reciver is SFH-56 based, I think I can write a driver for it.
BTW: If someone needs, I am writing a driver for my FlyVideo98 card ( The driver is already working, but I'm debugging it right now ... )
Bye,
Shay.
