You can remove (or just rename) the explore option from folders by editing the registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTFoldershellexplore

Delete the explore key entirely if you want, or just rename it to something that doesn't start with 'e' (such as "xplore").

*Note: Editing the registry may be hazardious to your health. Windows(tm) has been shown to cause cancer in labratory tests. Blah, blah, blah, etc.

First, Girder is a gadget junkie's dream! I'm using Explorer in Win98SE to navigate to MP3 subdirectories and MP3 files to Play and Enqueue into Winamp. When in Explorer, I use Shift-F10 to get the shortcut menu and "P" for play and "E" for Enqueue. This works great for files, but when exploring subdirectories, "E" goes immediately to Explore instead of Enqueue. Is there a way for Girder to know when I'm exploring a subdirectory vs. a file? Or,how could I REMOVE the Explore option (by hacking the registry)?

Thanks, oe1K. But I decided to change Winamp instead of Explorer. I went to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTDirectoryshellWinamp.Enqueue and then to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTWinamp.FileshellEnqueue and changed "&Enqueue in Winamp" to "En&Queue in Winamp". Now "Q" is the shorcut for Enqueue instead of "E". The & is the code the defines the shortcut character.
