I picked up a group associated with a utility to change the SAT channel from Showshifter. As part of the setup I have to learn the IR codes to transmit to my RCA SAT receiver for the digits 0-9. I am new to Girder so I may have made one (or more) mistakes in the learn process, but I couldn't get the learned code to test out correctly for any single digit (or combination of digits). Here is what I did:

* Attached an IR emitter to the USB-UIRT and to the front of the SAT receiver
* Set my IR remote to SAT mode
* Clicked the command to send the digit "1"
* Clicked USB-UIRT in the Plug-Ins tab then Settings
* Cleared the old codes from the Code 1 and Code 2 fields and set the ??? to 56 (can't remember the name of the field).
* Pressed "1" on my IR remote several times but could not get the learning progress bar to complete (I assume this is what they mean by "repeatedly" in the "Learn IR" screen).
* Tried tried pressing "1" and HOLDING to get the progress bar to complete. This worked and took me back to the "Settings" screen.
* Clicked "Apply" on the Settings screen
* Clicked "Test" 1 or more times. The IR emitter flashed but when I switched to the SAT display, the number "1" did not show up.
* I tried setting the ??? field to 40 (can't remember the field name but 40 was its original value)
* I seem to recall trying to learn the IR in "raw mode" (though at well past midnight it's kind of fuzzy!).
* I also tried "IRDebug" and copied and pasted the field from the "IRDebug" screen to the Code 1 field on the "Settings" screen (I assumed this was the use of the "IRDebug" screen)

Any suggestions? Also, is there any way to log or debug what IR is actually sent by the "Test" button.

Thanks for your help.
