I have only today discovered Girder and spent a couple hours reading. Any suggestions would be great!
I am looking for a way to use an existing touchscreen computer in my den that is already wired via CAT5 to my PC using a Router.
Could you describe the hardware needed (by model name so i can locate them for purchase) needed to:
(1) receive my IR codes using existing remotes for DVD, AV receiver, VCR, ReplayTV, RCA DSS, TV
(2) send RF from my PC to an IR device
(the PC is two rooms away. I dont think a serial/parallel cable would be practical for this distance)
(3) send IR out to my AV components
Following the i-appliance board as well, I am anxiouslyt waiting for the 3COM Audrey OS to be "cracked" to allow for other apps to be added in the QNX OS. This unit would make an even sweeter websurfer/universal touchscreen remote for the den.
