Please make it clear whether the Realmagic remote (using the CTInfra plugin) works correctly or not.

I'd like to know if you've got problem with the remote/plugin/receiving part, of if you have difficulties sending events to dvd station.

I still don't understand what hardware devices you're using to receive IR info on your machine ?!?

You're using WinLIRC for this reason I guess.

Do you only have the Realmagic Hollywood plus or ALSO the Realmagic remote ?

Are you controlling dvd station with windows message commands or kepress emulation? I have not had this problem with my holywood plus so it must be solvable. Try the 'test command' option in girder to see if you get the same problem.
You could always try Eugene's dvd player if you cant fix this.

Thats a very strange problem. I assume you don't have the realmagic remote drivers installed for some reason. Suppose it could be a motherboard problem. (The more PCI cards i plug in, the more flakey my usb controller is , so it doeas happen). I am not familier with your remote, if it uses the com port, you could try a different one.

Well, the Packard Bell Fast Media receiver also works with Girder thru the SFH56 driver.
I know, a friend of mine uses it this way.
You might try that, to see if WinLIRC is the problem. (But it does mean re-learning all your ircodes in Girder).

I have WinLIRC and Girder installed. It works great with winamp and WinDVD (software DVD player). However it doesn't recieve every command properly with the Real Magic DVD station that I use to do hardware decoding with my Hollywood Plus DVD decoder card. Sometimes I have to push the button several times to get it to work. I know its not b/c of the CPU b/c its all hardware, and WinDVD that uses my processor a lot more works fine. So, if anyone has a work around or some suggestions, please let me know. Thanks.

Oh...sorry, I'm using a Packard Bell remote and Windows 2000 and I have installed the WinLIRC plugin for Girder. And I'm using windows messages to send commands to the DVD player. Another bit of information, it seems to be a problem with winLIRC, there is a little light that is supposed to light up every time you push a button, but it doesn't light up every time when playing a DVD, it seems as if DVD station conflicts with WinLIRC or something. The Test command on all of the buttons works fine, so the commands work fine. Any more suggestions, oh, and it does the same thing with Eugene's DVD player, it seems that it only has a problem when I'm using hardware DVD decoding, b/c the remote works fine with everything else, including software DVD players, so the Hollywood decoder could be tieing up the COM port, I don't know....this isn't makin sense

All the evidence points to WinLIRC havin a problem with my DVD decoder card. B/c when my DVDs are playing WinLIRC recognizes all the raw signals, it just doesn't recognize it as one of the buttons that it has learned.

I'm using the Packard Bell reciver that came with my Packard Bell remote. I don't have any RealMagic remote or infrared devices. The only way I can use my remote with girder is with WinLIRC. I REPEAT.....I DON'T HAVE A REALMAGIC REMOTE....I'M USING A PACKARD BELL FAST MEDIA REMOTE WITH THE PACKARD BELL FAST MEDIA RECIEVER.
