Help Please! I've searched the forum for this issue but didn't get any matches.

I've been using Girder without problems for a year or so. I just changed a bunch of hardware & upgraded to Windows XP and am having problems.

Girder 3.29 installed fine, & I was able to import the TheaterTek .GML file without problems. I've enabled the device port as well as the Irman plugin. I can see the tray icon flash when I try to teach a command.

Here's the problem, whenever I select the function I want and then select "learn" I get FFC000000000 in the event command line -- before I try to teach the command with the remote (which it doesn't learn).

I made sure the port is enabled in the bios, and that there were no conflicts in device manager. Can anybody help? Thanks,

Ron

Try a different remote, it sounds like that remote isn't compatible. What brand is it ?

Thanks Ron. I figured it out in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep. It was pretty stupid -- I was using my IR keyboard, and it was teaching the keyboard command.
