Hello everybody.

I'm trying to use Girder on my notebook but it does not work.
I have got a FIR on it, it seems to be a National Semiconductor one.

The problem is that under Windows XP I don't have a com port associated.
I tried using IRda and UIRT plugin with Girder 3.0 but it does not work.

Can you say me how to have a com port associated to the IR or how to make it functionning with Girder?

Thanks a lot

Sorry ZeTom,

Most of the time the built-in ir of laptops DO NOT WORK with Girder. This is because the irda that is built-in is designed to do simple file transfers to ir printers, etc.

Sorry.

Hi

Just to say that my integrated ir function properly with girder.
I have set it as Generic Serial Ir ans it is allmost ok.
I just have got some problems because of codes that seems to be quite the same with my remote

ZeTom, could you please post how did you configure Girder to make it work with the built-in IrDA? I also have National Semiconductor FIR and cannot find any associate COM port for the IrDA on my Windows XP. I tried many things but nothing seem ot work. Thanks.
