No I accidentally added the control to the non-editable for groups and multigroups... fixing that now.

Good Idea--I usually end up giving Commands and MultiGroups ridiculously long names to try to get around this issue. A comment field would be a very welcome addition.

Also, if Ron decides to add this, maybe he can make the "event message" portion of the Status bar a little wider. I use a slink-e and all IR strings begin with the name of the device which ends up obliterating most of the message string. As I'm tying this post, Girder's "event message" field reads "GIRDER.EXE[CRE" the rest of which I assume reads "ATE]" . The "Status Message" field length is very long given that most of the message displayed there a pretty short.

Any chance you'd care to attend to the "event message" field length issue I described in my previous post? There's no hurry but maybe it's something that can be added to a to-do for a furture release.

Newbie's got another one...
What about a comments field associated with with a group, multigroup, or command.

That way anything can be entered into the field. Like notes on how to use the group or command.

As well as something I read on the forums... what key was pressed on the remote/keyboard i.e. you could put in the comment something like left arrow or 1 or whatever or just put GIRDER ROCKS in the field.

The field could be located directly under the Ledbar display that displays the ir string or command name. (The red field with yellow text) the field length could be limited to whatever you deem appropriate.

I thought that it wold be easy to then see what keys were assigned to each IR code.

I have tried using the comments field, very nice...

Is there something that I must do in order to use the comments field for multigroups? It works for commands.
