I've just tried to use the eventblocker and it seems to be broken, actually it never really worked too good because it was supposed to do something that windows really didn't liked doing purposely. Loose key presses. I've i get some time i'll take a look what is wrong, but try to find a different solution to your problem, eventblocker isn't the solve all.

I think the blocking only reliably works under win2k with the new keyboard plugin.

Eventblocker:

Put the name of the executable in the box, select "add" from the drop down box and execute the action. (this is a action plugin, so use accordingly).

But as i said there seems to be something broken.

I thought the new version of the keyboard plugin (on the download page) was supposed to do this?

That is the one I meant. I have no experience with it either. Sorry.

Hello folks,

I'm trying to use a IR keyboard as my input
device and would like to know how to block
keys that I don't want to send to any app,
that means I want to use those keys for special purpose... I understand the evenblocker can help me to do this, but I just can't find any description doc. for this
function, and the old discussion board link seems not work. Can you guys help me or where can I get more details regarding these
great functions ? Much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Garfield

Hello Ron,

Thanks for your kindly help ! I understand.
But all I got now is only the IR keyboard...
any suggestion ?

Or what can I do to reserve dedicated keys
for special purpose ? Any suggestion will be
deeply appreciated.

Garfield

Do you have any idea about how to use it ?
Thanks a lot.

Hello Ron,

I understand that you don't suggest me to

Hello Ron,

My apologies if I'd disturbed your work .
I did some tests and find some issues regarding to evenblocker for your reference,

Here is my instruction,

I put the name of the executable in the box, select "add" from the drop down box and then
execute the action. I tested for Notepad , PowerDVD , Office Word and Powerarchiver2000
, and I found if I include the path of the executable , it will fail . So after that I tried to put the name of the executable only without path, then it worked !! It worked just what I want to. After execute the eventblocker command, it started to block keys from the App . But I failed on Office Word and Powerarchive . I hope this help if you people are still working on event blocking tools. Thanks for your kindly help.

Best Regards,
