I can't see why not... it suggests that the IRDA in the Palm is capable of producing generic IR signals for A/V equipment. It you have a IR receiver for Girder, then you should be all set. Let us know if it works?

Basically it should work. But I've heard that the IR signal from the Palm is not very powerful so it won't reach an IR receiver being too far away.

Everything you want to know about remote controls. There is also information about using a Palm as a remote.

Just look at http://www.remotecentral.com

I have IRpal (IRman clone) would it be possbile to use a Palm III with it + Girder? I just saw on this forum that they have released a program for it to use it as as a universal remote (http://www.pacificneotek.com/).

I've been thinking of getting a remote with a LCD display and i've also been thinking about getting a palm so this would be the ultimate thing for me if it would work
