How do I switch COM ports, using Packard Bell fAst Media Rem

I want to use Girder, an I've learned to use the Igor plugin to intialize my remote, but then instructuions say to switch ports 1,2,3,4 until it works. I know for a fact my infa red reciever is on COM1, how do i make that setting, what menu etc, plz help!

Also I'm under win2k if that helps.
