using cretive infra 52x remote with girder

I have purchased the creative infra 52x cdrom drive that shipped with a remote. I would like to use this remote with girder to control winamp. The creative plug-in for girder requires that the reciver be connected to the com port. Can anyone show me how to do this? My reciever is inbuilt into the cdrom drive.
